England FA WSL Official League Standing.

The FA Women’s Super League (FA WSL) is the highest league for women’s association football clubs in England. Founded in 2010, it replaced the FA Women’s Premier League as the top-flight women’s league in England. The inaugural edition of the league was won by Arsenal Women, and eight teams contested for the trophy. The league was deferred for a year due to the global economic downturn. Sixteen clubs applied for eight places in the inaugural season of the league, including Arsenal, Barnet, Birmingham City, Bristol Academy, Chelsea, Colchester United, Doncaster Rovers Belles, Everton, Leeds Carnegie, Leicester City, Lincoln Ladies, Liverpool, Millwall Lionesses, Newcastle United, Nottingham Forest, and Sunderland. In 2014, the FA WSL 1 and FA WSL 2 divisions were created.
